the drummer and heart of fela's band is still the absolute shizbang. i'd heard a lot of his earlier work, but just picked up his recent 'homecooking' cd.

it receives my highest recommendation.

    Thanks. I always worry about solo projects but I love Tony Allen. Didn't he put out an album with Bernie Worrell on it? Have you heard it?
